ReelGrok (Producers & Directors) is a clearinghouse for filmmakers. It’s where you can find the reels, the photos and the crews for every production job.

ReelGrok is a mecca for agents and agencies, talent scouts, managers, agents, film producers and directors.... It's designed for all the people who review work and find talent for production.

All filmmakers are welcome here, from producers to creatives to technicians. We accept every type of production, too. Commercials, industrials, features, music videos, MOWs, shorts, sports, webisodes, haven'tbeeninventedyetisodes. Whatever.

If you can shoot it (or you've worked on it), we’ll post it here.


What's the Name Mean? 

If you don't know what "reel" means, you're on the wrong site.  GROK, on the other hand, is borrowed from Robert Heinlein's novel, "Stranger in a Strange Land" and means to understand something so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed.  In short, the information becomes a part of the person seeking it. We hope this site can have that impact on its users.


How & What to Post....

Post your work. Your resume, of course, plus video, film, stills and even drawings are all welcome here. Pornography is not, but beyond that, there are few limitations.

We do not judge the quality of anyone's work here. However, remember that you will be known by the work you display here. Only you can determine if your work is good enough to be shared with the world. And you’re the only one responsible for repercussions, good or bad, from the material you post.

Membership Levels....

Every member of ReelGrok can post resumes, up to 20 minutes of video and 20MB of photos. You choose the kind of work you'd like online. Make it 20 one-minute videos or one 20-minute video. The same rule applies to pictures, too. It’s your space to use any way you like.

Search Engine....

ReelGrok is all about its search engine. With help from you, we've designed a complex and complete search engine to find almost any specific you want.

Your search can be as simple as picking the appropriate category, on the Left side. We'll give you a list of everyone who fits that Category. Or it can be as complex as you can possibly imagine.

On the Right side of the home page, choose the Category as well as the Medium and any number of Key Words.

That's the kicker here. The Key Words.

Everyone who submits a video or a photograph selects their own Key Words to describe the scene. Then we turn the material over to our crack staff.

That's when we review the material, frame-by-frame, identifying every moment of every scene. Red clothes, blue sky, green leaves, little girl on a wooden swing. We'll look for anything, everything to help you narrow your search down to essentials.

And when you're looking for the perfect art director who knows how to build just the right set for a little girl in a playground under a bright blue sky, we'll show you the footage and give you the name.

And it all happens faster than you can say "Hey, who shot that...." Sweet.

We're a small company. The multitude of mailboxes here is merely our last stab at organization. Most communications are handled by two ancients with skinny black ties and green eyeshades who happened to wander into the back room while searching for the john.
