I am an electronic musician with a very wide range of experience and ability to work within multiple genres. I mostly create music as art, for myself, but I am also capable of working with other people to provide quality sound and atmosphere which will suit the aesthetic they are seeking with their visual projects. I enjoy opportunities to help people achieve their artistic visions, which simultaneously provides me with a different route to explore my own creativity as well. The type of relationship I like to work with is that of a communal effort to reach an artistic goal--this is how I tend to view my role when contributing to a film project. Most recently, I have provided creative covers of early 80s industrial and synth-pop songs for an upcoming independent subcultural film with punk/goth/alternative themes, as well as an original song aesthetically tuned to the film's needs. I am currently working on similar contributions for a different film.

Before film, my first love was theatre. After moving to New York, I produced & directed dinner theatre and ran an off-off Broadway company. 

I found work as a still photographer, eventually moving to film sets as an assistant cameraman, then slowly inching toward production. I joined DGA as an assistant director, moved to production managing and finally came full circle, upgrading my membership to Director.

My latest project was the three-part, federally-funded PBS series, The Writing Code, detailing the history and future of writing.  We're now raising funding for Part Four (The Digital Revolution) and Part Five (The Power of the Pen).

I'm a well-rounded and -grounded filmmaker with professional experience in both longform fiction and documentary, spanning the entire process from development to post. My current fiction project is "Chaography: Variations on the Theme of Freedom," a feature about five jazz musicians, slated to star acclaimed jazz artists Eric Reed, Ted Nash and Stacy Dillard. The project was named a finalist in the prestigious Ultimate Filmmaker Competition, one of only five selected from over 1200 entries, and the Roy W. Dean Grant. I produced and directed another narrative feature called "Absent Father," which was nominated for Best Picture at the Religion Today Film Festival and has just been picked up for distribution by Vanguard Cinema. In a previous life I've worked as Supervising Producer for a national PBS documentary series, the Programming Director of public television's second largest station, and a writer, co-producer or segment director on countless documentaries, nearly all of which ended up on national television.
