I am a Cinematographer, but I still work as a camera assistant to help pay the bills. I graduated with an MFA in Film Production from the Florida State Film School in 2005. My focus was in Cinematography. Since graduating, I have worked professionally with all aspects of camera from loader to director of photography. I've worked on commercials, music videos, shorts and features. I DPed my first feature last fall. It was 24 day shoot on Super 16. I produced and directed dinner theatre and ran an off-off-Broadway theatre in NY before realizing (sadly) that it was nigh on to impossible to earn a living in the theatre. A working still photographer, I turned my skills to the set as an assistant cameraman, slowly inching back toward production. I joined DGA as an assistant director, moved to production manager and finally came full circle, upgrading my membeship to Director.
